Everything you need to know about nutritional therapy, Kaleigh's approach, and how to get started.
Understanding what nutritional therapy is and how it can help you
A nutritional therapist uses a personalised, evidence-based approach to support health through food, lifestyle, and supplementation. Rather than a one-size-fits-all protocol, we work to understand the root causes of your symptoms - your health history, diet, stress levels, sleep, hormones, and more - and create a plan specific to you.
The goal is never to just manage symptoms. It's to understand why those symptoms are happening and address them at their source.
Both are trained nutrition professionals, but their approaches differ. Dietitians typically work within the NHS using standardised, condition-specific protocols. Nutritional therapists take a more personalised, functional approach - spending significantly more time understanding your individual health picture before creating a tailored plan.
Kaleigh's NHS background means she brings the best of both worlds: evidence-based thinking with a genuinely individualised approach.
Yes, and it's one of Kaleigh's primary specialisms. Conditions like IBS, bloating, constipation, acid reflux, and SIBO all respond well to nutritional intervention when the root cause is properly identified.
We look at your diet, stress levels, gut microbiome, digestive function, and history to build a plan that addresses what's actually driving your symptoms - not just a list of foods to avoid.
Absolutely. Hormones are heavily influenced by nutrition, blood sugar balance, stress, and sleep - all of which we address in the programmes. Many clients experiencing PMS, irregular cycles, perimenopause symptoms, mood changes, or fatigue notice significant improvements through targeted nutritional support.
Yes. Cancer support is a special area of interest for Kaleigh, informed both by her professional training and her own personal experience as a two-time breast cancer survivor.
She works with clients during and after treatment to support energy, recovery, and overall wellbeing - always within a safe, evidence-informed scope and in collaboration with your oncology team.
Yes. These are metabolic conditions that respond very well to nutritional intervention. Kaleigh works alongside your GP to support blood sugar management and cholesterol through targeted dietary and lifestyle changes, always in a way that's safe, practical, and sustainable.
What to expect from the programmes and how they work
The discovery call is a free, no-obligation 20-minute conversation. You'll explain what you're experiencing and what you're hoping to change. Kaleigh will ask a few questions, explain how she works, and recommend which programme might suit you best.
There is absolutely no pressure to commit to anything. It's simply a chance to see if working together feels right.
Sessions are available both online (via video call) and in person in Westgate-on-Sea, Kent. Many clients across the UK work with Kaleigh online, making it easy to fit sessions around work and family commitments.
This depends on your health goals and the complexity of what you're dealing with. The Wellness Kickstarter is ideal for those wanting expert guidance and practical steps without a longer commitment. For most clients working on ongoing or complex health issues, the 4-Week or 12-Week programmes provide the consistency and support needed for lasting change.
The free discovery call is the best place to work this out together.
No, you don't need a GP referral. Nutritional therapy is a complementary practice and works alongside - not instead of - your conventional medical care. Kaleigh will always encourage you to keep your GP informed and will work within appropriate scope of practice at all times.
Kaleigh holds a BSc (Hons) in Nutrition and a Diploma in Nutritional Therapy from the College of Naturopathic Medicine (CNM DipNT). She has 4+ years of clinical experience and has spent the last 3 years working as a practitioner within the NHS - giving her a uniquely grounded, evidence-informed perspective that bridges conventional and nutritional medicine.
Private nutritional therapy is not currently funded by the NHS. However, Kaleigh's background working within the NHS means her approach is closely aligned with evidence-based medicine, and she works collaboratively with your GP where relevant.
